Frequently Asked Questions

What's it like working with me? I'm glad you asked!

How do I approach a wedding day?

My philosophy for wedding photography and videography is informed by my professional background in photojournalism and documentary film. If I help you enjoy your day to the fullest, the images will happen naturally. A solid plan will also help you feel more relaxed on your wedding day. A month or two before your date, we will have a call to review the events of the day hour by hour. I will ask for a list of groupings for family photos to make the process as smooth as possible. During your couple's portrait session, my approach feels more like directing than posing. Instead of making you hold stiff and uncomfortable positions, I encourage you to interact with each other and enjoy the moment. With this foundation, the rest just falls into place!

What packages do I offer?

I offer three tiers of photography and videography packages tailored to meet your needs and budget. I am happy to offer some customizations if you don't see what you're looking for.

Couples typically spend an average of $5,000 for eight hours of wedding day coverage for photography or videography. Combined photo and video packages include the individual package prices minus a discount of $500. Contact me for my full pricing guide.

A note on raw video footage: I don't typically offer raw footage as it can be challenging to manage. I offer documentary edits of the day to ensure you don't miss any important moments. If raw footage is very important to you, we can talk about it! I do not offer raw photos.

Have I worked at your venue before?

Over the last 15 years shooting weddings, I have worked at countless venues and I am always excited to work at a new venue! Because each wedding day is unique, I don't believe it's necessary to have prior experience at a venue in order to best capture your day. I am used to quickly adapting to challenging conditions in lighting, weather, space, or scheduling. I will always check in with your venue coordinator or planner to ensure we don't miss a beat. We will plan locations for first look and portraits beforehand, and always have a backup plan for rain or other interruptions.

Who do I work with?

I am fortunate to have an incredible network of photographers and videographers I can rely on to provide the highest quality work and service. My second shooters are able to step up to lead if there is ever an emergency. This provides you with an extra layer of security and peace of mind. If you book both photography and videography with me, I work as your lead photographer and bring with me a second photographer, lead videographer, and second videographer. In order to accommodate everyone's schedules, I will typically confirm team members about 3-6 months before your date. I truly value my team and do not work with anyone I can't trust with my business and your wedding.

When will you receive your photos and videos?

I send sneak peek photos within two to three days of your wedding! I also aim to have trailer films edited within two weeks. My delivery time for full galleries and videos is approximately two months.

Do I have insurance?

Yes, I am fully insured and can provide a Certificate of Insurance to your venue if needed.

How can you book with me?

After our initial call to get to know each other and answer your questions, I will send you a custom proposal and contract. If you're ready to make it official, we will both sign the contract! I require a 50% deposit to secure your date. Once the contract is signed and your deposit is paid, your date is blocked in my calendar!
